1. Describe the product precisely
Write down what you need: function, materials, sizes, quality level, packaging, certificates and quantity. A precise specification is the best protection against getting something different from what you expected.
2. Find the customs code and costs
Every product has a customs tariff code. It defines import duty, taxes and the documents you need. Check it before you order, so the landed cost does not surprise you.
3. Check the requirements of your market
Many products need certificates, conformity marks or labelling in your language. Electronics, cosmetics, food, toys and protective equipment have the strictest rules.
4. Choose and check the supplier
Compare several offers and check the company before paying. Order samples and approve one as the reference.
5. Agree the contract
Fix the specification, price, delivery term (Incoterms), payment terms, production time, inspection and what happens if goods do not meet the standard.
6. Control production
Inspect goods before they are shipped. It is far easier to fix problems at the factory than after delivery.
7. Transport and customs
Choose the transport mode by cost and deadline, prepare documents, clear customs and pay duties and taxes.
8. Receive and check
Count and check goods on arrival, keep all documents for accounting, and record what to improve for the next order.
Nectus can take over all of these steps or only the ones you need.
